James Bradfield Moody is the Chief Executive Officer of TuShare, a company with a vision of helping all items to reach their full lifespan. He was previously Executive Director, Development at Australia’s national research agency, CSIRO. James also sits on the Advisory Council of the Australian Bureau of Statistics, is an Australian national commissioner for UNESCO and a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader.
He has also co-chaired the United Nations Environment Programme Youth Advisory Council, was Executive Secretary of the UN Taskforce on Science and Technology for the Millennium Development Goals and has held board positions with the Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology and the National Australia Day Council. James received his PhD in innovation theory from the Australian National University and was a chief systems engineer for the Australian Satellite FedSat. He was a regular panellist on the ABC television show ‘The New Inventors’ and lives in Sydney with his wife and son.
Bianca Nogrady is a freelance science journalist and broadcaster who has written regularly for publications such as Scientific American, The Australian newspaper, G Magazine and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation science and health websites.
For several years she was the radio voice of New Scientist magazine in Australia and was also a medical journalist with Australian Doctor newspaper and founding editor of the CSIRO children’s science magazine Scientriffic.
